A. Subject facilities pursuant to 「Act on the Guarantee of Convenience Promotion of Persons With Disabilities, Senior Citizens, Pregnant Women and Nursing Mothers」 (hereinafter referred to as “Act on the Guarantee of Convenience of Persons with Disability etc.”) Article 7
B.City, county and district (Refers to autonomous district. Hereinafter the same) that has planned or maintained any means of transportation, passenger facilities and roads for safe and convenient transportation of any means of transportation, passenger facilities, roads and mobility disadvantaged persons pursuant to the 「Act on Promotion of the Transportation Convenience of Mobility Disadvantaged Persons」 Article 9 and the regions pursuant to the 「Enforcement Decree of the Act on Promotion of the Transportation Convenience of Mobility Disadvantaged Persons」 Article 15-2
C. Urban parks in article 2, subparagraph 3 and park facilities in article 2, subparagraph 4 of the 「Act on Urban Parks, Green Areas, etc.」
※ From July 29, 2015, public buildings and public facilities newly constructed by the State and local government should obtain certifications
(「Act on the Guarantee of Convenience of Persons with Disabilities etc.」 Article 10-2 Paragraph 3).
※ From Dec 4, 2021, parks designated, certified or installed by national and local governments are under obligation for certification (Article 10-2, Paragraph 1 of the 「Act on the Conveniences for Persons with Disabilities, etc.」)
The Research Institute executes certifications concerning individual facilities (buildings).

Application for preliminary certification of Barrier Free (BF) living environment
Application to be made prior to main certification by referring to the business plan or design drawings of the certification subject (Those who have received preliminary certification should receive main certification)
